Insulating Glass

LOW EMISSION GLASS (LOW-E).
Glass gives us great advantages in terms of architectural space in which we live. Glass has no special thermal insulation characteristics, and in place of glass made surfaces problems of heat loss appear. One of the main tasks of modern glass production is the limitation and reduction of emissions of heat and prevention of loss of heat through glazed surface.

The first step is the use of IZO-glass, which improves thermal insulation and reduces heat loss through glass surface. Top thermal insulation characteristics can be achieved IZO-glass with enhanced features within the space between two pieces of glass. The most significant improvement in terms of reducing emissions of heat is produced using low emission Glass LOW-E in the composition with IZO-glass. Low emission glass is characterized by particularly selective oxide layer of molecules placed on the surface of glass that reflects only the thermal radiation. Through low-emission glass we lose less heat because the energy returns to the area from which it originates. Further improvement relates to the use of inert gases in between. Composition IZO-glass replaced with dry air, which achieves greater power, thermal insulation and reduces the coefficient of heat passage. Combination of low emission LOW-E Glass, and use of inert gases in the composition of izo-glass are giving great performance gains. This glass not only to reduces the costs of heating, but is indirectly involved in the protection of the environment to reduce total necessary quantity of energy, and therefore reduce emissions of harmful gases. Top heat and sound insulation is performed IZO three tier glass (sound insulation = 40Db, U = 0.50 W/m2K).

Glass to regulate solar light and solar energy

Windows that regulate sunlight and solar energy can be divided into two groups: absorptive and reflective glass. Such glasses define area in which we reside, in a way that selecting the optimal glass determine the amount of passage of light and energy. Sunlight can be very intense, which results in harmful influence on our eyes and vision. By using the reflective lens we create optimal conditions of the area in which we reside.

On ordinary glasses total passage of energy in winter compensates the loss of energy we have, normally this is a good thing, but in the summer periods of time creates a problem because it warms up the space too much. Reflection and absorption solar radiation also helps to prevent the passage of the total energy. For the light that comes on the glass, to say, that while scatters into three parts: The first part is reflected, another part is absorbed in the glass, and the third part passes through the glass. These three phases define a reflection coefficient, absorption coefficient and the transmission coefficient. Reflection coefficient is important in defining the external appearance fronts.

Number of absorption of energy is very important, as a parameter that determines the overall absorption of energy, in larger percentage in ordinary glass may cause cracking. Therefore, glass must provide enhanced features. To achieve this, we must harden the glass.

It is advisable to anneal all glass above the 60% absorption of energy. Coefficient of light that passes in the glass is most important when choosing the glass, because it fixes the total amount of lost light in the area in which resides.

Tempered and safety glass

increasing requirements and standards imposed by our use of safety glasses with glazed front. Tempered glass is safety glass, which on breakage, fractures in large number of small pieces with blunt edges of size 10×10 mm. Important characteristics of tempered glass are: – three times greater resistance to mechanical impact than ordinary glass – three times greater resistance to thermal changes in relation to the usual glass (thermal shock) these features tempered glass meets the most rigorous conditions and opens a wide range of applications for it. Mandatory use of tempered lens, as noted, is with glasses with absorption of energy greater than 60%. Tempered glass required is used in glazing parapet on the building wherever thermic shocks appear . The Act regulated it’s use in all public spaces, and is required in the application of the auto industry windows, furniture industry and on a number of other examples.

In order to fully define the final product (aluminum glass facade) in terms of complete control and the quality of the embedded material, and also to guarantee the quality, the company Alu-kon in your facility has annealing furnace for glass.

Our annealing furnace glass was made of best quality World Finnish manufacturer factory TAMGLASS. Annealing furnace TAMGLASS has a very high capacities and provide exceptional quality tempered glass, and we are able to temper all types of glass dimensions 2200×3600mm and thickness from 3 to 19 mm.

Enameled glass

Enameled glass in their production, we offer tempered glass enamel. Enamel glass is tempered or heat-strengthened glass, one side covered in part or whole of the surface with mineral pigments. It can be used alone or made into laminated or thermal insulation glass.

In accordance with its decorative function, enameled glass is also a controller solar radiation. Enamel glass is used for glazing and facing facades, ceilings

Enamel performed in all the colors chosen by the client.

Screenprinting program on glass

Alu-kon offers a screenprinting program on glass. Screen printing on glass is a kind of finishing that is used in decorative purposes, as when placing the glass on the facade, and decorating interior. It is the process of painting on glass through a silk netting. After you’ve applied the color, the glass is tempered, which produces painted security glass. Each facade can get it’s own visual identity by a variety of patterns and colors.

In the catalogue you can see the basic patterns of screen printing on glass, which can be combined in a large number of variations and colors.
Painted glass / painted facades

Special use in interior and exterior decoration we find with painted facades.

High quality and visual value painted facade is achieved with an option to print all patterns and colors. For example, with painted facades we can apply a company logo, slogan of the companies, etc., and all in accordance with the client’s need, from the minimum size, to print over the entire surface of the facade.
