Ventilated facades consist of multiple layers. The first outer layer consists of panels made from facade cladding materials, such as aluminium sheets, aluminium composite panels (ALUCOBOND), fibre cement panels, etc.<\/p>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/11\/ventilirane-fasade-1.jpg\" alt=\"Ventilirane fasade\">\n    <h2>Ventilated facade layers<\/h2>\n            <h2>1<\/h2>\n            <p>The visible outer layer is composed of facade panels suspended by (cassetted) or glued to the metal substructure.<\/p>\n            <h2>2<\/h2>\n            <p>The penultimate layer, between the metal substructure and mineral wool, is a ventilated cavity in which air can circulate freely. This cavity is the specific feature of ventilated facades.<\/p>\n            <h2>3<\/h2>\n            <p>The last layer is composed of fleece laminated mineral wool (covered by a diffusive membrane) that is affixed to the building wall.<\/p>\n        <h2>Physical properties of ventilated facades<\/h2>\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/snowflake-icon.svg\" alt=\"\">\n        <p>The physical properties of ventilated facades are exceptional. The ventilated cavity of the ventilated facade enables the maintenance of a comfortable climate and temperature within the rooms in the building and reduces the need for air conditioning and heating. On cold days, the air that circulates within the ventilated cavity is heated by the warmth of the building. Since it prevents the building&#8217;s heat loss to the environment, due to a lower amount of air in the ventilated cavity than in the entire area surrounding the building, energy consumption is decreased.<\/p>\n        <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/09\/sun-icon.svg\" alt=\"\">\n        <p>On hot days, the air circulates continuously through the ventilated cavity. The heated air rises and creates a low-pressure area on the lower part of the facade, which enables the entrance of cold air, ventilation and cooling of the entire building. This way less energy is wasted on cooling and air conditioning. On hot days the facade cladding has a high impact on insulation. It partially absorbs and partially reflects the heat of sun rays. This way it emits just a specific portion of the total solar energy, which lowers the amount of heat that reaches the building.<\/p>\n    <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/12\/infografika-ventilirane-fasade.png\" alt=\"Infografika\">\n    <h2>Watertightness<\/h2>\n    <p>1. Water molecules diffuse from the interior to the exterior of the facade through the walls.<\/p>\n    <p>2. Vapour easily passes through mineral wool to the ventilated cavity due to the wool\u2019s fibrous structure and vapour permeable, but watertight, membrane.<\/p>\n    <p>3. The vapour is then eliminated from the facade by air.<\/p>\n        <h2>Have questions? A huge advantage of ventilated facades is the fact that the facade cladding can assume almost any shape: undulating, rounded, sharp, regular and irregular geometry.
